Did you guys like last week’s Fairy Tale Worksheet Pack? I hope you did! I had a lot of fun making it!
This week is a little…different.
I went into making poetry worksheets thinking it would be simple, but some of the concepts that go into poetry are more than we usually talk about with preschoolers! So I included rhymes (obviously), digraphs, and reading. No numbers this week, but lots of matching! Maybe I should rename this the rhyming worksheet pack?
I’ll get more creative with Poetry Pack #2, which is bound to happen down the road. I also want to focus more on specific poems in that pack. Ideas are churning, and they will be SWEET when I’m done with them. But anyway.
Activities for this week include reading poetry, reading poetry, and…you guessed it…reading poetry. We like playing the Rhyme Game too (“Words that rhyme with cat!” “Mat!” “Sat!” “Bat!” –lots of yelling and fun) but otherwise, taking it easy on the activity end of things.
Six worksheets with clip art by me again, but some of it came out fuzzier than I’d hoped. Work in progress, don’t mind me as I tweak and fiddle with it…I’m getting there.
My boys loved coloring in the black and white, so we stayed with black and white! Yay ink friendly worksheets!
This worksheet pack includes:
- Poem Patterns
- Rhyming Word Match
- Rhyming Picture Match
- Digraph Match
- Digraph Cut and Paste
- Find the Rhyme
These may lean kindergarten/first grade, just a heads up.
