Family Home Evening is an evening devoted to family and the Lord. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we are encouraged to have FHE (as we shorten it to) once a week, and Mondays are reserved for it throughout the church, although sometimes due to family schedules it happens on other nights. My childhood FHE’s involved a prayer, a scripture, a lesson, an activity, and a treat, when everything was going well! I am trying to continue this family and cultural tradition in my own family.
