So you may have noticed I skipped last week. Things came up unexpectedly, I was tired, I just couldn’t get into the subject matter for the week…but do you know the subject for this week?
SPACE. PLANETS. THE SOLAR SYSTEM.
Long before I had children, I wanted to be an astronaut. Then I realized, I really struggle with calculus and physics. But I still love to hear all the fun space news and I’m the only one of my friends who would totally take that one way ticket to Mars. Am I crazy? Probably a little.
My kids happened to inherit my insanity, and any time they see even a glimmer in the sky, they are out trying to name it. They got to see Jupiter and Saturn through a telescope the other day–I had two very excited boys and one excited littler boy who didn’t know why he was excited! It was a lot of fun.
To say I created this Solar System Worksheet Pack with a herd of boys over my shoulder wouldn’t be exaggerating. At one point, they all tried climbing on my lap buuuut I can’t make worksheets like that, so I kicked them all out. They are going to be STOKED that I am finally letting them do these.
Also, the worksheets are in color this week. I couldn’t help myself. They’re so purty.

This worksheet pack includes:
- Measure the Planets
- Counting Sunbeams
- Planet Number Trace
- Planetary First Letter Fill In
- Solar System Shape Match
These are perfect for preschool but fun for kindergarten or first grade too. I am especially happy with the first worksheet, an introduction to measuring for little kids! Hurray!
And in CASE THAT WASN’T ENOUGH, I made coloring pages too. Dude. It’s been quite the week for me.
